Arrival & Departure
To start and end the day in an organized manner,
and especially to avoid confusion during arrival and departures,
please follow these procedures:
Arrival: Students arriving for school
should be accompanied to the entrance of the school appropriate
for their class. Please bring your child to the classroom entrance,
as staying in your car while your child enters the building
is not safe. If you need to give a message to the director or
a teacher, please give a note to the teacher at the door and
arrangements will be made to meet or call you as soon as practical.
Departure: Children will be released
only to the people authorized.
Late pick-up: Parents who arrive late
to pick-up their child should go to their children's classroom.
Your child will be waiting for you there. There is also a small
fee for this accommodation, which should be paid at that time.
Lunch
Children should bring food and drink that are nutritious. We
will encourage your child to finish what you send with them.
Snacks
Snack time is fun for the children and part of their learning
experience. We provide a nutritious snack and use the occasion
as part of our practical life and daily living segments of the
day. Parents are encouraged to bring special snacks or food,
which we will use in that day's lesson. This would include fresh
fruit, vegetables, popcorn, eggs, crackers, etc.
Special Events
We have snacks every day, but certain events come only once
a year. Birthdays and holidays are celebrated in the classroom.
Please check with your child's teacher to see what the birthday/holiday
procedure is in their classroom.
Naptime
Children who stay with us for the full day may wish to nap.
The Toddler and Pre School children will be encouraged to do
so in a quiet room set aside for that purpose in the afternoon.
Nappers need a sheet and blanket, which should be labeled. The
sheet and blanket must be cleaned weekly.
Non-Discriminatory Policy
The school admits students of any race, color, national and
ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities
generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national
or ethnic origin in administration of its admission policies,
educational policies, scholarships and loan programs or athletic
and other school-administered programs. The staff of our school
treat children of all races, colors, national and ethnic origins,
religions, and cultures, equally, with respect and consideration.
We provide children of both sexes with equal opportunity to
participate in all activities.
The Montessori staff
welcomes all of our families! Our school was created to provide
children with a prepared learning environment in an especially
warm and safe atmosphere.
